After retiring from ranch life in Fields, Oregon we found ourselves in Burns wondering what to do with our time. We spent 7 months helping the owners of The Hines RV and Mobile Home Park update their facilities. It was while we were working on that project that we realized there was a need for a self-serve laundry facility. We thought about it a long time before deciding we could do that for our community.
No suitable building was available, so we purchased land in Hines and started the project from the foundation up. It took 10 months to complete. We feel our finished product is a necessary part of our community and appreciate all who have encouraged the work in progress as well as our loyal patrons.
Steve has a background in refrigeration and washer/dryer work, having started out his career working as a service tech for Sears out of Portland Oregon. He spent years as a manufacturing company maintenance and tool and die man. At the ranch he kept 17 water circles operating as well as maintaining any other machinery needing attention. He is happiest when he has a mechanical problem to solve.
Doris owned and operated a cleaning business during the years they were raising their 5 children. Together our experience culminates into the perfect match for a clean efficient facility.
